So I gather turning the steering wheel activates a clutch on one side or the other of the driving chains?

Thanks for posting the video. Yes, I wonder why it did not catch on more. I guess the caterpillar type tracks must have proved more useful or reliable.

These pictures will give you a better look at how it was built. This tractor is in a SoCal museum. I think there is another in a ID museum.

This concept is still in use today. They are hydraulically driven.
