The crank bearing on f-20 farmall at flywheel end has about 6 or so holes around the flange, Does anyone know where they go, on side bottom or what? Got a book but don"t show witch way pistons go either. Know how to tell witch hole tell go in, but what direction?

Not sure what you mean buy the rear bearing with holes they are ball bearings. As for the rod and piston direction the punch marks on the rods point towards the cam side. Or do you have the pistons removed from the rods too ?

they go on the bottom

Looking up into the piston you will see the bolt whick locks the piston pin in place, that bolt should be towards the front of the engine when piston is installed. Also if you look at the rod cap you will see the "scoop" sticking out, for lack of a better word, this scoops up oil to lube the bearing, look at the direction of rotation and it should make sense how they go in.Hope this helps.

The bearings are actually in a carrier, Lightly pressed on the outer race as I remember. The bearings themselves are extra heavy duty bearings, they have a full ball complement. Gorden Rice told me that "back in the day" IHC guaranteed those bearings for life. if they ever failed, IHC would replace them free. With the merger with Case, good luck with that today. The holes are there to let oil flow back into the engine. There is an oil line inside that provides oil to the bearings and since they are not sealed oil passes through to the flywheel area and needs to drain back.
