10-20 steel wheels

I'm getting ready to have some front steel wheels fabricated for the 10-20.(just the outer rim part), which I will weld to the old spokes. Has anyone done this with success? If so, how was it done? Thinking of bending 3/16 flat stock into a channel, then rolling into half wheels. Will it work?

10-20 front steel is pretty common. id try to find a set before you waste all that time and effort.

original wheels are rivited from the rim to the spoke. the use a countersunk head rivet.

I had that done with the front wheels of my W30. Trick is to get the rims centered and have a good welder. I have a good set of 10-20 wheels with tires if you are interested. I'm around the Rochester NY area if you are interested - drop me an email.

Thanks, Charlie. I'm converting the tractor back to full steel. I would like to see some photos of the wheels you fabricated, if you have some.

Mine are currently buried in a snow bank along with much of the rest of the tractor. My wheels were the original cut off steel wheels that someone had welded on a rim for a rubber tire. I cut the old rim off with a torch, got all the flat spokes the same length using a grinder and bought new blank rims to weld back on.
