extra engine oil

My hydraulic oil keeps going low, while my engine oil level appears to be rising. Is it possible that hydraulic oil is seeping through the hydraulic pump seal into the engine crankcase oil? Will this cause any engine problems?

sure is possible. shouldnt affect engine with a small amount over short duration. should be fixed soon as possible. what animal is this?

I just rebuilt the pump on my Cub that had the same issue. The shaft was dinged up prety good. I used come crocus cloth to clean it up. When I tried it out it was worse than when I started. I needed to relace the pump. Let me know if you need a pump and I can give you a lead on one I found.

I am not sure I know what that is.

Udate-I just Googled it. Looks like a great idea. I think I will try that and have a spare pump.
