Just aguired a 52 cub, anyone know off hand what type plugs to use and the gap, also any very cold weather starting tips. Got the tractor in Michigan & taking to Florida but cant start it to load on the trailer. Thanks for the help.

You bought a non-running tractor ??? if so, it can be any number of things. I use Champion D-21's in mine but there's others like NGK or Autolite 386 (I think).

Try using the crank , or a pull. Thats the way we have started ours since 53 when its extremely cold. It usually goes with a couple of quarter turns. Good luck.

i agree, Champion D-21's or Autolite 386, or 3116 if you cub is fouling plugs this is a better choice.

Thanks for the info. like I said I had it running a month ago, had to go back to Florida, back up here in this arctic crap and she does not want to start. I will c/o sparkies and pull her around the yard. maybe i can get some funny videos out of it. thanks all, happy new year

I would just pull it onto the trailer with a come along and worry about it when I got home.
I have put them in a pickup that way many times.
