hey guy's, i'm nearing the purchase of an older IH farmall late 1950s/1960s tractor and was wondering how it is getting parts for a machine like this?

depending on exactaly what model you have or about to have then no, parts are generally easy to get. However there are some models that parts are alittle harder to locate...

Ken, Farmall parts r easy to get in some cases. I use a aftermarket outfit out of Michigan caller STEINER TRACTOR or nnalert in Iowa. They supply anything that I need to make an old farmall complete or keep an eye on E-bay or this page in the photo ads. TractorHouse is also a good source for parts as well as your CASE INTERNATIONAL DEALER. Hope this helps! Good luck and have fun! I always have!

The more expensive to repair are the 350U and 350 Farmall, with the Continental Diesel engine, and all of the gas start diesel run engines. The parts are available, just not cheap. The tractors are not to be avoided, they run well and have great economy. JimN
