Plowing snow with 1952 cub, slow hydraulics

My son & I just plowed the driveway w/our 1952 Cub. The plow was very slow coming up when we started....after 10 min, it got a lot faster (back to normal)....when we parked it, I checked the fluid in the resivior & it's "milky"...is this normal? I assume it's moisture...do I need to change it?...temps have been single digits for past week & rose to the high teens today. If this pic comes through, it's of my son in our towns Christmas Parade w/ the Cub & me in the background on a SA.

yes you should change it if the fluid is milky in color. And the cubs hydros are like that when they are cold (on the slow side) i used to put a block heater on the side of my cubs rocker arms. This seemed to help out real well however like you noticed after using them for a few mins they gain there normal speed again. So in short change the fluid when you get a chance and just use it perfectly normal from what you describe.

If it is milky it has water it the oil and needs to be changed before it freezes in the pump. ATF works great in the winter for hyd oil.
