'48 Cub hydraulics question.

I have an early 48 cub with no hydraulics. It only has the spring assisted hand lift on it currently. What I'd like to do is get all the components to convert it to having a fully functioning OEM hyd. lift system so I can get a blade setup for the front to push snow with. What all is involved? I know I'd need a hyd pump and valve block, but if I found them off of a newer parts tractor would they work on mine since it never had them before? Thanks in advance for any information and advice!

Hi Ben
If you are just getting started you should plan
on power angle for the plow
it makes life easy when pushing snow
you will need a bypass block from TM Trator parts
I just put mine on and it is GREAT
If you want I can give you some # to call for the parts

Ben, You will need the hydro. pump. This is the only thing that interacts with engine. Not sure if your tractor has knock out to install a pump.
The rest of the unit, lines, brackets and controls are all bolt on iteams so they can be added and purchested easy. Might want to find a parts cub and swap things over to your cub.

You can use the front blade with the hand lift, i did for years till arthritis got too bad. If you don't have it, you need the front rockshaft set up and rod from hand lift to the rockshaft. You can adjust the spring on the hand lift to compensate for the weight of the blade.
