Broken hitch SH

I have a 53 Super H. I was doing some heavy pulling and broke a part of the U hitch. On the axle on the back side there is a about 1 inch square piece of steel that has the two bolts that pivot and hold on the main part of the u hitch. Is this piece the same on H, M SH and SM and what other tractors. How much should I expect to pay. thanks in advance for any help or info.

There were some on ePay BIN for $25ish. I would expect a junkyard to charge about $10 for them. Make sure you have the ten in your hand when you walk up to pay ;)

Where are you located? There is a good junkyard around here in Fort Atkinson, WI.

H through 350 or maybe 460 used 3/4 inch diameter bolts and a smaller square tube on front side of axle to clamp your broken piece to axle. M size tractors used 7/8 diameter bolts and a bigger square tube in front. The piviot or eye bolts can be fine thread or coarse. Broken piece is a little thicker on later models. If they fail its usualy where the axle clamp bolt head is close to the end. Should be able to find one reasonable.
