C aftermarket 3 point

If an aftermarket hitch fits a C Farmall then what other models will it fit? Also, what are these units bringing? The one I'm looking at has axle mounts it looks like on both sides and then chains to control sway. Don't need one too bad but wouldn't mind one for the right price. No damage on the one I'm looking at. Any help is appreciated.

A Super C, a 200 and a 230 without Fast-Hitch.
I don't know what it's worth; depends on conditon and design. Usually used ones swap owners for between $350 and $500.
Hope this helps you.

Before putting a 3 point system on your rear entry Farmall C think about how you are going to get on and off your tractor. You may be quite young and agile and don't mind having to crawl over eqipment that is difficult to get around or over to operate your tractor. Three point hitches were designed for side or front entry tractors and not for the letter series Farmalls. Not to say that they won't do the basic mounting and up and down movement they were designed for but I think you are going to lose a lot of the convience you presently have with the proper equipment designed to be compatible with your tractor. I have a Super C with a fast hitch and that hitch is far superior in function and capabilities of any 3 point hitch you are going to be able to put on you C. I don't know what you intend to hook up on your tractor but you might be better off with semi-mount or pull implements for ease of getting on and off your tractor. Just something you should consider and maybe see one with a 3 point implement attached to a C before making a final decision and see what is involved in getting on and off the tractor. I know what I would have to go through in going through a few farm gates in cattle country and crawling over the equipment multiple times in getting into the field I was going to work. Hope your choice works out for you but I would suggest to try and see what you are getting into before parting with the $$'s unless you have already given it a thought, Hal.

Saginaw makes a 3 point for a C, I have one. Mounting and dismounting is not a problem for me, although sometimes I mount-dismount from the front. The main thing is to get one with its own cylinder, then rigging a remote valve if your C does not have the factory remote. If it operates off the rockshaft, the rod will be in the way and it won't lift as much. As to price on the one you are looking at, maybe 2-$400, a new Saginaw is around $600 + shipping. Yes, fast hitch is better and will bolt up to your C, but finding one in good shape without worn out bushings may be a problem. And unless you are going to use a mounted plow a 3 point should pose no problems.

Plus H/M through the 460/560 maybe more. Because the indentations on the rear axle are the same distance apart. Not saying it is a good idea. I have had the U shaped drawbar that came on my C on my 460.

Getting on and off a C is not as much of a problem as getting off an H or M with a 3 point. I am 72 (in a week), and have 3 points on a C, Super H and an M. What 3 points do is make the tractors more usable. Doesn't have to be tillage implements. Mine are used mainly for blades and sprayers, occasional bush hog. They will also handle rear mount cultivators, although I don't need those. I don't have a lot of opinion on mounted vs trailing implements, I have used both. Both have their pluses and minuses. I will say that the main problem with aftermarket 3 points is depth control. My 460 with tel-a-depth and fast hitch handles a blade for better than the aftermarket 3-point tractors.
