Does anyone know how many teeth there are on pinion shaft . thanks

Pinion 19, ring gear 47. Its different than the 19 teeth pinion shaft in a regular M tractor.

Except for some real early W-6, O-6 series tractors, the pinions are the same as a I-6.
If you don't already have the main shaft bearing housing for a 6 series, there different than a M tractor. Housing with 3 bolts retaining it and shims behind it.

what will i have to do to make the 47 tooth ring & pinion work in my m trans thanks for the info

Get the 6 ring gear and pinion shaft with bearing and bearing cage complete. Install in a M the same as you would the original ring and pinion. Can use the M mainshaft bearing, but the 6 bearing cage is needed to get the main shaft set to the proper depth in the 6 ring gear.
