Saginaw 3 Point Hitches

Has anyone ever installed one of these 3 point hitches on a 560 Farmall? If so, what are the pit falls if any? Good fast hitch parts are hard to find.

Certainly they are strong enough, but Hugh McKay would have been first to point out that aftermarket 3-points have NO draft control.1

That said, I use a Saginaw on my Super M and let it float with a rear-mount blade. Does well enough.

I have one on a 51 H and have nothing but good things to say about it. It mounted right up and I can still use the swinging drawbar. It is very heavy duty and will pick up logs big enough to pick up the tractor front end with no problems. I just use the belly pump and no down pressure which has not be a problem so far.

I put it a saginaw 3pt on my H...tuned a great tractor into a fantastic tractor. I can still use my trailing implements (plow, disc, etc.), so I don't care about not having draft control on the 3pt.

The fast hitch can be rebushed, that is likely most of your problem. Cost me $400+ for my 460, or about half of the Saginaw with shipping included. I am not downing the Saginaw, it is the best add on 3 point made, I have 2 of them on a C and a Super H, but is not as good as the factory ones, or as good as fast hitch. An example is if you put a 3 point on the 460 you lose the tel-a-depth, etc, unless you find a way to combine them.

I have Saginaws on my Super M and my Super H. Personally, though, I am not a full-time farmer, (nor the son of a farmer, etc.) - I just like the convenience of having them here on the place. I will say this: They are strong! I have two-way valves on both tractors and I like having both up and down pressure. If I don't want down pressure, I just pull the pins at the upper links.
The only disadvantage is that these old tractors were made to climb upon from the rear. Not so easy with a mounted 3-point. So..... I have just about completed my newly fabricated step, which mounts in front of the rear axle. When that is done, it will be a near perfect set-up.
Best of luck to you.

I will add my 2 cents. Have Saginaw that my Dad bought back in seventys, it has been used a lot and abused a little and is still in good using condition.

Can you send me pictures of the hitch. Also, what all comes with the hitch. I'm going to look at one about 20 miles from me and it includes everything along with the steel hyd lines and the three hyd valves which includes the tele-depth valve as well. Also, you can call me at 740-350-1296. Thanks.
