Cub 150 engine

HI everyone,
I"ve got a C-60 Cub 150 engine in a 1949 Cub. It has oil coming out of the exhaust pipe, I figure it"s bad oil piston rings or bad valve oil seals. What would be the best way to troubleshoot this problem. I am also open to any other suggestions that anyone might have...Thanks, Roger

No such thing as a Cub 150 engine. C60 for 60 cubic inchs.

Flathead engine, pumping oil. Rings.

Thanks for the reply Gene. I think you must have misunderstood me The engine is a C-60 out of a Cub 150 and I installed it in a 1949 cub. So you say it needs new oil rings, is that right? Thanks, Roger

Roger, not trying to beat you up here, but there is no such thing as a "Cub 150" tractor either.

There's a Cub and a Cub LoBoy.

There are also International 154, 185, and 184 "LoBoy" tractors, which share the same engine as the Cub. Maybe you meant that the engine is out of a 154?

Sorry folks, I misspoke, the engine I installed in my 49 cub is a c-60 out of a 154 Lo-Boy. Sorry bout' that. Anyway more info on the original question would be helpful. Thanks, Roger
