M Non-pressurized radiator

I have an early model M (SN 56063) with a non-pressurized radiator. Due to a puncture, I feel it is time to replace the radiator. Can I convert the system to a "pressurized system" simply by converting to a "pressurized radiator?"

yes. you might have to cut a small slot at the back of the opening in the top of the grill for the overflow tube.

Isn't the radiator repairable? Switching to pressurized will no doubt bring out other "borderline" problems in your cooling system.

Exactly. That little modification of the grill is the only difference.

The bolt holes for mounting may also be different. At least on my H's the front hood on the one with the non-pressurized system has holes that have a taper while the others are just flat.
