super m block farmall264

I have a Super M block laying out in the shed with a crack through the center cam brg. I priced a couple of blocks, both over $3oo. I ended up buying a complete engine on E Bay for $500. It's got 70 lbs. of oil pressure at idle and don't smoke. I couldn't have fixed the other one for that money and when I got it home and looked it over I see the two engines were built about three weeks apart.

Richard,
I needed a Super M block a couple of years ago. After looking for about 3 months I ended up buying one from J.P. Tractor (I attached a link). At that time, they were charging $425 for a cleaned, inspected and guaranteed block.

I found several for a $100 (+/-)less than that but they were "Where is; As is". That struck me as a good way to by a $300 boat anchor.

By the way; at that time, Bates Corp. quoted me $750 for a guaranteed block. I was told later that Bates bought their blocks from J.P.Tractor.

Good luck,

Art
