BIL was out moving tree stumps around with a loader and got up against a big one and lost the clutch and pto. Called me, I checked it out. At first there was no clutch, then in a bit the tractor felt like it shifted,(Like pressure came up or the such) then there was clutch for a bit. Tried to see if the pto would work because the grapple had ahold of the stump. PTO wouldn't turn at all. Also as soon as the tractor is started there is a very loud whine/somewhat of a grinding directly below the clutch and brake pedals. Got the tractor to move enough to get away from the stump and backed the tractor up to the yard. Clutch seemed to hold for that long. I messed with the pto while I was moving and - no go. When I shut off the pto lever then the T/A would work. I am thinking it is the pump and clutch pack for the pto to start with. Steering seemed to be O.K. Any other ideas? Thanks, Dan
