i am going to put a 2 way hydraulic valve on my super m and i was wondering would a log splitter valve work because they are the cheapest i can find. i am pretty sure its just a normal spool vavle but i wanna make sure. also do i have to run the return hose from the 2 way valve to the bottom of the reservoir or can i put it in the top somewhere

yup, a splitter valve will work as long as it is an open center valve. as far as plumbing to the belly pump, i prefer to run the line to the drain plug, use a pipe tee, the plug the third opening with a pipe plug. (easier to drain the fluid that way.) you can plumb to the fill pipe, but it will need a vent hole and sometimes it will squirt hydraulic fluid out the vent. (generally only when you are standing next to it!!!)

If you want to run a one-way cylinder off the splitter valve, plumb a T with a coupler into your return line, and make a hose to put between there and your remote coupler. When you hook up the one way cylinder, just stick the hose in as a bypass. A friend did that when he put a live pump on his Oliver 77 and it's a little slow lowering the haybine but it works.
