I have a Farmall A, it has a valve on top of the exhaust manifold which s is plumb to a part on the right side. It also has a lever up by the ingition switch. It"s between the exhaust manifold and the muffler.Any info would be helpful. Thank you

It is probably the original "exhaust lift". Working that lever would re-direct the engine exhaust through a hose and into a cylinder, which would "lift" a mounted implement. It functioned more or less the same as modern day hydraulics. There are collectors who are looking for those exhaust lifts, so do not destroy it.

Yes as the others said it is the pneumatic lift system used on A and B tractors. Take care and do not destroy it. It would lift all the attachments made for the A tractor from a one row cult to a six row one, planters, listers, mower and plows.
