Sickle Bar w/ vaccum lift value?

Hi all I have a sickle bar and the vaccum lift system for my Farmall A (1945) It was on the tractor when I got it but am not sure how well it will operate. Looking to know if any one has one (rare at all?) and a ball park value. Thanks a lot, I have only seen one other lift like mine and I go to a lot of shows etc

Joe i have one on a 46 A. it lifts the mid mount plow. I just bough some repair parts from Gene Bender. a member here on the yt board. keep us posted on how this go,s for you. thanks Bob

Having that system on a sickle mower will get a ton of lookers wherever you take it. Those systems work off the exhaust pressure and are neat as I-H was the only people to use such a system. It was also used on the B tractors. I will bre glad to help you get it working if needed.

I have a pneumatic lift sickle mower on mine. #18, 7ft. used it on about 2 acres this summer. cut alright, horrible system to mount the thing takes about 45 minutes to get it on or off. Wants to pull crooked beneath you and hang up on gopher hills.
I have the manual if you need info or pictures.
I agree with Gene, if your using it for show have loads of fun, if your looking to use it for cutting I'm not sure I'd recomend it (of course mine is about the most wore out mower I've ever seen)

I have one as well...bought it from a guy parting out tractors for about $75. He said it was more difficult to sell than the non exhaust lift ones...
