Update on snowplow for farmall A

Here's a photo of the snowblade I made this week. Seems to work OK. I need to reindforce a few places where the bolts go for the blade adjustment.
Main problem I have to solve is that when it hits a chunk of ice, or really starts pushing the plow wants to push the front end up. (no worries about going over backwards though due to the rear scraper box.)
Both the blade and scraper were made from a 9 foot land leveler
Sorry the one picture is a bit fuzzy

I guess the pictures would help

That's one nice looking A. Wish ours looked half that nice. About the only help for the front coming up is a sizable compression spring from the blade swivel back to the cultivator mount where you have the blade hinged. Not really too practical or easy to accomplish, though.

Looks like a nice set-up as the A will be a handy snow pusher. With the blade hinged where you have it i can see where the front would rise but you will still be able to move a bunch. Some day i need to rig one on one of my As. nice job.

that looks really nice. I'm restoring a straight a right now. I have a plow for it too. I don't have the exhaust lift though, just the hand lift. Hope mine looks that nice when its done.

The PTO pulley powers a belly mount sickle mower in the summer. I just never took it off this fall since I will not need the shaft until I'm raking hay in June.
The little one right by the wheel is the other half. The mount for it is bolted to the rear housing in such a way that I have to take off part of the plow lift so I left it on too.
