Farmalls H, SC, and BN prices

I'm looking for advice as to what three Farmall tractors are worth. A friend of mine has an H, a Super C, and a BN all for sale and I would like to make him an offer for all 3 of them. They are all in good working/running condition, the BN and SC have good tires but the H needs new tires, The SC and BN have been repainted in the past 2-4 years and they look good. The average person would probably consider them nearly show-quality. The H is painted the wrong color red so I would need to repaint it right away. I know its hard to determine value like this but I'm just looking for some input from other tractor guys. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Im not a specialist but without seeing them i would say about 5000 dollars its imposible to say for sure with out seeing them but thats my guess. Erik..

kinda depends where you are for one thing,,I am in Upper michigan, and I am lucky if I can get 1000 for a really nice H and 1200-1500 for a nice M, I would say about 3000 to 3500 for the three of them, but remember what something is worth is directly related to what you will pay for it,, start at what you feel is fair and work up, are you buying to resell or to keep is also a concern, buying to resell means you have to get them cheap enough to make a profit.. good luck....Jim

Any attachments? How much does he want? I would say 5000 is to high from what you described. Nearly show quality has many different meanings. A 50ft paint job is not show quality. Any of them rebuilt. Smoke?, Funny noises? Hard to say. I'd say closer to 3500-4000. Why do you have to repaint the H? Are you gonna show it? If its just a shade off is it really that important if your only gonna work it?

I would say $3000.00 - $3500.00 would be a good ball park. Prices around here have really come down in the last year. Price is always subject to how much one is willing to pay.

$12-1500 each, meaning a range of $36-4500. Since you want all 3, total should be closer to $3600. However if the SC has fast hitch and is really in good condition could be worth $2000+ --paint is not a good indicator of the mechanical condition, unless the owner can assure you that he has indeed fixed the problems or potential problems. The BN can't do much, unless you put a belly mower on it, H's are simply too common to be worth more than $1500, usually less. With the great differences in todays paint colors, how do you know the H is the wrong color, maybe the BN is? Did the owner give the code that was used, or did he simply buy it off the shelf from a farm store?

Thanks for the input. I think he is looking for $1000 for the H, $2500 for the SC, and $2200 for the BN. It seems that you guys feel the prices are high on the SC and the BN but the H seems to be a pretty fair price. Do you think $5000 is too high for all of them?
