400d use 450d pistons?

hey guys, i have a 400D. Strong runner, was lookin to up the hp. do the 400D and 450d use the same block? if so could i use a pair of 450d sleeves in my 400d and use 450d pistons?

Yes, probably a better than even bet it has 450 size in it already.

ok, so if the block is the same would the crank mains and connecting rods be the same size then??? if so i could theoretically drop in a set of 450 sleeves and pistons. . . and gain more hp with out touching the pump????

Everything the same in the two engines. The 450 used a thinner sleeve, you use the thinner sleeve in the 400 and then put the 450 pistons in it. The 400 was 264 cu in and had 48 hp. and the 450 are 281 and had 50 hp. in the book I have.
