H pulley flange

I need to replace the flange on my water pump. The one you need to turn to tighten or loosen the belt tension. The way I understand it, I need to remove the whole water pump assembly. What else do I need to get (besides flange, which I already have) to do the job? Do I just need the gasket to mount the pump back to the engine and some packing for the seal? Never done anything like this so could use some help from you experts.

You do not have to remove the entire pump to remove the adjustable half of the pulley. You will have to remove the impeller driver off the very front of the pump, then unbolt the fan. Next remove the brass packing nut and then the large nut behind it. Finally remove the round plate that is now loose and then you can unscrew the pulley half.

On the H you do indeed need to remove water pump as the rear half of pulley must come off to get front pulley off, it is opposite of an M. After removing hub from rear of pump, take the bearings and seals out, drive the positioning pin out that is located in rear pulley flange, (might be hard to locate) then press pulley off. Measure distance before removing so as to put it back to same dimension. You can align original hole or just drill a new one upon reassembly.

Pete is correct. Sorry for the misinformation :( I was thinking of the M water pump and assumed the H was similar without double-checking.

Thanks for the info. Done working for the rest of the year so better get this done before we start getting some serious snowfall. Have a safe and happy holiday season and God Bless.
