I have noticed someone(s) here before that seems to have a source for old part numbers and am wondering if anyone might be able to come up with or point to to a place to search for info on a DR generator, # 11 6822 176511
Anything you have to offer would be appreciated.

P.S. I did check the site and found nothing:

I think you have a digit missing in the unit number. 1106822 is a good number for a generator. 176511 would fit for a serial number.

Delco Remy DC Generator # 1106822 Spec # 1759
Field draw at 80 degrees F 1.37 - 1.50 amps
Output 50 amps, 13 volts, at 1925 RPM. Total output controlled by current regulator.

Armature number 1937419
Field coil number 1964187
Frame C.E. 1914501
Frame D.E. 1910013
Ball Bearing C.E. 954685
Ball Bearing D.E. 908605

Brushes, springs, holders part numbers depend on whether the unit has had the updated parts installed.

Thank you so very much! I'm betting that you pegged it, since I kept looking at that somewhat scratched up 'space' for a number , but finally decided it was a space............must have been a zero.
Thanks.

P.S. Where in the world do you find information on old odd stuff like this generator?

Sometimes those unit numbers can be quite hard to read. I just finished rebuilding a 40SI alternator that sure looked like the last digit was a zero but that was a number for a 40DN series. Turned out it had to be an eight.

In the mid eighties I purchased the service information from Delco. Basically the same information that is now on their site but covering the years from 1954 to 1985 along with some older information. I have the parts listing for your generator but the service manual is older that what was included in the ones I got so I do not have that.
