Hyd pressure Check

What is the best way to check the hyd pressure on a Farmall 100? And also can remote hyds be hooked up on this machine? If it can, what do I need to hook it up?

It's taken at the rear flange on the manifold, where it mates up to the T/C block. The gauge replaces the 1/4" pipe plug toward the rear.

40-50 psi on the low end, 1100-1500 on the high before the safety valve pops.

You need an adaptor for remote hydraulics. I think Steiners has them but they probably buy them from the guy who makes and sells them on eBay.

Goto:

Business & Industrial > Agriculture & Forestry > Antique Tractors & Equipment > Parts > Farmall

and search for "hydraulic" or maybe "adaptor". Price will be about $40.

Thanks for all the help. When using the block on ebay what type of auxiliary controll valve is used? Can you still get a valve like the ones that came on the super c with the fast hitch?

Email the eBay seller. He will tell you whether open or closed center. You can then decide whether you want single or double acting.

I'll bet he has a website with good imstallation instructions. If not, they will probably come with the adaptor.

I bought a similar Cub adaptor from IH at least 30 years ago to run a dump trailer when digging out the barn cellar. They work fine but I can't remember the installation details. At any rate, you can buy the adaptor with confidence. You won't be disappointed.

The hydraulic system on a 100 is the "open center" type, so you would need a open center control valve.
