Hydralic pumps,

whats the difference between an M&W hydralic pump and an IH hydralic pump?
do they look the same or are they different?
were they an ad on like Ive heard, or was the M&W an aftermarket pump that used IH hardware?

M&W and others sold pumps for IH tractors and other makes. They have cast iron housings. They are not a copy of the Cessna and Thompson pumps that IH installed as OEM equipment. Some mount directly to the front engine plate and others mount to the IH ignition extension housing. In the latter case, they will require a Delco vertical distributer.
