continous use of H lift all pump

I wired the lift all pump lever back so that it is always on unless the the clutch is disengaged or the motor is off. Is there any severe wear to the pump from doing this or will it be OK as long as fluid is moving through the system? I did install an open center spool for use with 2 way cylinders for the loader.

The lever on my SM was locked back for years, til I got tired of banging my knee on it. Worked about as effectively then as it did right after the last rebuild.

The lever on the tractor doesn't "engage" the pump, it just works
the valve, the same as any other hydraulic system. As long as the
engine is running and the clutch is engaged, the liftall pump is
running regardless of the valve position. Letting the oil flow
through an external valve is no different from letting it flow
through the internal one. So unless you have a closed-center valve
on the loader, there is nothing to worry about.
