Over heating 560 d

I have a 560 d that always got hot, It is tubro charged. So I just thought it got from pulling more then stock.I was Plowing this fall it got warm, so I stopped let idle for 5 minutes. I was off of the tractor I. I spoted the the lower rad hose sucked almost shut. Do you think the hose is just old which it is or do I have to much suction or another problem? Thanks . I put hose clamp on it to keep it round. It dosnent get hot anymore.

It's not an overly uncommon thing for rad hoses to suck shut. It's why many suction hoses have steel coils inside them, to keep them open. The real problems start when the hose fails internally causing a blockage but the outside looks OK. Sam

I would replace that hose too. It may be a good time to replace the antifreeze if its been awhile. Hal

Needs to have a spring in it. Other possibility is the radiator is getting the tubes plugged with crustacia or lime. This would limit the flow through the radiator & result in a "vacuum" at the lower hose.

Beings that it is turbo charged and that by the sounds of it you are still using it, I would say it is time to flush the entire cooling system to the best of your ability, I would probably flush it a couple of times, then pull the radiator send it to a shop have it cleaned out, then when you get it back replace the hoses with new ones and refill the entire system with brand new fluid.

As [u:ad20dd662b]I Likem All[/u:ad20dd662b] stated it is a lot cheaper than toasting the motor.
