I decide to change the oil in my A awhile ago and fownd antfreese in the bottum of tha pan. Tha old gal runs good starts good and I ant noteced antefreese being down much maybe 1/8 and it leaks some. Watta you guys thank.

More than likely O-rings around the sleeves are leaking. I"f it were mine I"d drop the pan and check that first.

I'm trying to drop the oil pan on my Farmall A. I got the bolts off, but can't break it loose. Is there anything I'm missing or forgetting?

Did you get the bolts across the rear? You have to remove the half-moon cover at the front of the torque tube to get to them. If you got those out and she's still stuck, then it's time for a thin, stiff scraper to see if you can get find a weak spot to get through and then work your way around. Be patient and work your way around so that you don't distort the rim of the pan by pulling too hard on it before you have enough of the gasket loose.

Last one i fixed was the head gasket. I remove the pan and let it set a few days if its the o-rings you will see the collant at the bottom of the offending sleeve. If its not leaking at the sleeve it has to be headgasket.

One gude thang about it, that antefreese will keap yur erl from gettin frose. Momma always sed that a littul antefreese is gude for whut chills ya. Thets all I got to say about that.
