Giving an H a jump

If I did not slide out the battery on my H, can I attach the (+) of charger to the frame and the (-) to the back of the starter switch (looks like the (-) from battery goes there first)? Or is this a good way to fry things when starting tractor? Tractor has positive ground.

Yes, that will work, just make sure you get it hooked to the side that goes to the battery and not the starter or you will get nothing

Yep, if you still get + to + and - to - a jump/charge should work. If its still the original Pos ground then YES that + jump to the iron frame should suffice while the - "to battery" (NOT to starter) post on a start switch or solenoid should have the big battery cable up to the - battery post.

Just be careful on that connection to the switch or solenoid and dont let it short out to the iron.

You can hook the + cable to one of the starter mounting bolts too.
