never seize

Important to use on plugs going into an aluminum head. In an iron heat it's not really necessary - but it can't hurt.

----

Do like Scotty says and use the stuff sparingly. A little goes a LONG way! (If just a trace gets on the plug center electrode it'll give you fits!)

I use never seize on almost everything that I put together because the next poor S.O.B. who has to take it apart might be ME!!!!

It will never hurt if you use it and make sure you dont get it on the end of the plug. It wont hurt but isn't a bad move if you don't I always use it anyway.

(quoted from post at 22:51:23 12/03/09) I'm with you. I use it on just about everything except stainless-on-stainless, and I've never regretted it.

OK--mind if I ask why? I don't do much with SS, but I just fixed a garbage can handle with SS ( 1/4" bolt w/SS lock-nut) and I used anti-seize.

I use it liberaly on almost everything metal. Especially SS to SS. If you have had SS gauld up, you will use it too. I try to only use SS as a bolt or nut, not both unless I need to for corrosion. I also use it on all spark plugs and exhaust hardware.

I have been told that if the SS alloys are different they will not gall. For instance, 304 screwed into 316. A galled thread is equal to welded. The connection will not come apart.

Uncoated SS pipe threads are highly likely to gall.

Hey Charles, is your snowplow ready for action tonight? Ya, I know. What snowplow?

I almost had to plow the driveway this morning. It was 24 degrees and I participated in a 5k run... We got a bucket of wet flurries! The most snow I have seen here since 2000. Thanks Wardner.

I use antiseeze on everything I put back together (unless there is chance of the darn thing coming loose ) . I have been on the other end more than once when it should have been used and destryed the part or parts getting it apart Ken
