H power takeoff seal

Just went to the local Carquest parts house and ordered a PTO seal for my '41 H. Price--over $46.00!! My question to you H tractor drivers- is that what these seals sell for or is it unreasonably high? The # on the seal in the tractor is CRT -45702-D. Thanks to any or all who respond.

Here is a link to the napa parts search. I used the interchange search and found it. It is $10.77 at napa. external_link has it for $18.13. If you can get the national seal number you can order it any auto parts store. But you can get it online at napa.

They probably ordered the wrong part. Even CaseIH is not that high.

i buy lots of seals from them and that price is way off base should have been around 20 depending on whether you get a discount or pay list price.

I bought mine from a local bearing company. It set me back $9.

I got mine from Carquest for around $10.

IH used 2 different PTO's on the H depending on the tractor serial number.
The serial number break is at 118000.
The two seals are not interchangable.
The lower serial number tractor pto units use a seal CR16275.
The higher serial number tractors PTO use seal CR13696.
