Farmall A emblem

I've seen some A's that have the front emblem that says Farmall and I've seen others with the emblem that says International. Which A's use which emblems? Does it depend on the year? I know that the Super A's have an IH emblem but I'm talking about the written out International emblem.

Farmalls had Farmall emblems and decals. Internationals had International emblems and decals. The Internationals (some call them "industrials") had the square tube front axle (optional as "heavy duty" on the Farmall) as standard, and a foot feed in addition to the regular hand throttle control.

The Farmalls had a serial number prefix of FAA, the Internationals were IAA.

Scotty;

My '48 S/A has the square front axle but no foot feed. What does that make it?

Vern

It makes it

1) most likely a Farmall Super A with the optional front axle
2) an International Super A with the foot feed gone

You're welcome. I missed answering a part of your question , but they were made at the same time, and shared the serial number sequence with each other and the Bs and BNs.

If your front axle tube is like this one it shout say farmall, if it is sqaure it should say international
