front crank pulley

Need some ideas on how to remove the front crank pulley on my farmall C. I"ve put a split collar behind the pulley and a large puller attached to that, I threaded a bolt into the threads inside the crankshaft and heated the pulley with my torch until im afraid im going to burn down the barn. Still nothing moves. Its my understanding these pulleys are just pressed on the end of the crank, there is no pin, ive cleaned it down to bare metal so I could see. no set screw no pin nothing. Any suggestions or Ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

I had one on a SC that was nasty. I removed the crank complete with front cover and pulley.
Placed the whole thing in a 60 ton hydraulic press, and supported the pulley with a collar to the press rails. it took near 26000 pounds of force to break it loose, then 12000 to move it the first inch. Finally it came easier and was down to 500pounde when it came loose (I had to catch the crank!) I think a port a power, or a 5 to 8 ton jack that will pump laying down is the best answer I can give! i second Jim's answer. i used a 12 ton jack to get the pully off both our Cub and Super C. them things are realllllly on there good. The use of a rose bud on a torch help too.

I"ve taken two off Super-C"s with a split collar and a large gear puller. First I tightened the gear puller untill I thought something would break. Then fired up the torch and went round and round the pully till it got hot enough to pop loose. Might have to try it more than once.

You need one these pullers using a bottle jack or a hydraulic ram. This was made by John for his Cub, but you can build one for the C or have it made at your local metal shop. Hal

Here's a sketch for making a puller. Most metal shops can punch the holes. Check the dimensions
to make sure the holes clear your pulley & the hub on the pulley. Hal

Finally got it off last night. I put several flat washers on the head of the bolt that I threaded in the crank and used my impact gun to tighten the puller. then heated it with a torch.
when it popped ,I had to go in the house and change myself.... YEE HAAA what fun.
thanks for the insight though.
