h/sh brake shaft seals

does anyone have a part # for the brake shaft oil seals, case ih can no longer get them and i gave my parts man the number that came off the old one CR part # U 17944, he is having trouble finding or cross referencing it. if anyone has a national part number that would be great, thanks in advance
 
H or Super H? It makes a difference.

Not sure where that part number you have is coming from, but it crosses to a NAPA number, NOS 11170, I.D. 1.125", O.D. 1.832" x.25", lised as a Navistar IHC seal. $9.99

I looked at the online CaseIH catalog and came up with this -- all IH part numbers

For an H delivered with band brakes
48498D
358777R91
360252R91 All three interchangeable

For a SuperH or late H delivered with disc brakes
20290D
357770R91
357774R91 All three interchangeable

Those are all IH numbers. I have a hard time beliveing CaseIHNHFord can no longer get them. Shoot some of those numbers to them and see what they say. Tell 'em a guy who ain't gonna make a penny on the transaction took the time to look 'em up for 'em

Above is the link to napa's website. You can take their number to them and order it online. $10.39 for the seal.
 
IH used the seal you want on lots of tractors where the brake operating shaft went through the transmission. They used a lot of different numbers for the same size seal. If the case IH parts man can't cross the number U 17944 from the old seal over, you need to find another parts man. Try seal # 380959 R91 or 360076 R92 on the parts man for the seals you need.
 
Chicago Rawhide stock number is 11171.
Shaft - 1.125" Bore - 1.828 OD - 1.832. I paid $2.80 each for them in "05 at Bearings, Inc. in Oak Creek, WI. 414-571-2760, ask for Craig.
