Here"s the short version. Bought new tach cable, hooked it up, snapped off the end. That"s been a while ago. Thought I had a bad cable.

Recently, doing some electrical work discovered the tach seemed set up and wouldn"t spin the needle. Grabbed another 560 tach in my shop, it spun the bearing the cable sits in and the needle. Was it the tach that busted the needle? Could it have been the distributor end?

I"m running 15.5 x 38 rears. How much weight (liquid) should I have in them, and when their filled what sort of pressure should I keep them at?

Lastly, what"s the easiest way to tune the carb? I"ve just tuned "er up, seems to be running much better, but now she"s spitting grayish-black smoke. Considering the oil I found on the old plugs, the smoke"s not a real surprise.

Thanks In Advance,

Matt
