Alternator on 400

I made a bracket to mount an alternator on my 400 much like I did on my M. Had it all set up perfect....I thought. Went to put the hood on, and realized that gusset for the hood is right where the alternator sits. Anybody have any suggestions as to how to get an alternator to fit under the hood. Pictures would be very appreciated. Thank you in advance!

I took the bracket, that was on the tractor and flipped it over, end for end. I think I removed some of the alternator housing where the bolt goes through it, in order to get it to align with the pulley. Attached the alternator to it and tightened it down and put the hood back on. I do not have a top bracket to hold it tight, and I have not had any charging problems.
