Had a little bad luck with my stump grinder, bit off a little more that it should chew, slip clutch on pto shaft did not slip when it was supposed to. I heard a breif grinding sound from the engine clutch area, then everything went on to work just fine. Used it yesterday with wood chipper,no problems,no new noises, lucky I guess?
My question is,what goes first, the splines on the PTO input shaft,or the females splines in the pressure plate? I put a clutch in it last year but did not replace the pressure plate, looked too good but the splines in the pressure plate were worn some. Any ideas??????
Thanks,Butch
