I'm in the process of restoring an 8-16 that we have had for many years. I'm looking for a source for repro sheet metal (hoods, fenders) as well as engine parts (piston rings, gaskets etc.) Can anyone help?? There was a fellow in Canada making sheet metal several years ago. Anyone know him??

If you go to "Smokstak" and ask that question you will find a feller from california that would probably still have some parts. I believe last name is Farbor. Good Luck!

Welcome to the 8-16 restoration club... I am currently doing a 1917/18 VB series, and a 1922 IC series. Interesting tractors.. What series is yours? VB, HC, IC?? Engine parts will vary by series.

I supplied hood measurements from my grandfather's 1922 8-16 to the fellow restoring the one on "You Tube .. International 8-16". Contact me and I'll sent you his e-mail address.

Mine is also a 1917 VB. Very early with the Maddison Kipp oiler on the side of the engine. How far along is your 8-16? Any leads on repro sheet metal??

I got reproduction fenders for my 10-20 from Tired Iron Farm in Bristol Ind.
This has been some time ago, but worth a try. Their phone number is 219-848-4628.
Good luck on your project. :D

Any good metal shop can make you a hood & fenders if you have the old parts so they can get the dimensions. There's a man not far from me that makes fenders for the Mc Cormick Deering tractors. You can contact him at 717-548-4131.
His name is Robert Lefever in Peach Bottom, PA.

Contact Dean at [email protected] as he make hoods. Hal

Kinda working on just finding the parts I need. Mine is awful rough. I am needing to possibly find some patterns to cast for mine, but shoot me an email, we may be able to help each other out.
