O.T. Thought it would never end.

Finally got done combining corn. 22% moisture and it's Nov 28.Had good yeilds considering all the radical weather we've had this year.Between the rain, lack of rain when when we needed it,waiting to get LP gas for the grain dryer, more rain, waiting for parts, more rain, waiting in line at the grain elevator, more rain, wet spring ,cool summer wet fall.I'll never be more happy to get the combine in the shed tomorrow and call it a year. The way the year has been going everything will probably explode when I shut the machineshed door.I'm done.

Guys at the elevator teel me corns still coming in at 25 to 26 per cent around here.Streator Il..I'm out in the country and the propane trucks are running pretty much up to midnight around here..

The grain harvest around here is going to bring a lot of tillage equipment out of the weeds, some fields have ruts well over foot deep.

Just remember--a clean combine is a happy combine. Take time to clean it up--even though you need to take a day off. We had the same season as you did.

Where are you located? I am in Mount Vernon (Eastern IA) and got the corn out a couple of weeks ago at 21% and 205 bushels per acre.
