Chain up my cub

Montana dude

Just wondering,I"m ready for winter with my plow and I can"t find any chains for the old girl. Is there any reason I should"nt put chains on? I realize that I would need to relocate the fenders. Finaly is there another alternitive?

Set the wheels out one setting and the chains will clear the fenders. With chains and at least one set of wheel weights they will move a lot of snow.

If you have ag tires, get Duo-Grip chains. Otherwise straight bar or ladder chains will just fall inside the tread.

Can't find any chains? Yeah, only if you're looking at the local grocery store!!!

www.tirechain.com... Lots of tire chains there.

For the Cub: http://www.tirechain.com/8.3-24.htm

These are the double ring chains from tirechains.com The duo-grip are not available for the 8/3X24 tire. "Caution" these chains are very aggressive. You will not want to slip the wheel on asphalt pavement.

Do you have wheel weights? I got by without chains so long as I had the weight and proper tire pressure. Was able to plow up hill without slippage.
