What was the last year for the farmall cub,Ive found a 1971 cub with a good mower and cultivators, have no idea what a good price would be to offer the man, it looks and runs very good, good tires, any help would be appricated. thanks Rick, Have a good thanksgiving to all.

2500 a reasonable starting point. Many are going for 1000 if rough but running. Some will go for 3500 in some locations. JimN

I believe that your location will make a difference. I've seen good ones for less than $1000 and crappy ones for $2000.... go figure.
Just make sure of what you're buying before you drop that kind of change. Cubs, like most other tractors, have their weak points or problem areas. The engine block "ears" are prone to breakage, the final drives sometimes have large chunks out of the bolt hole bosses, the front support may have freeze cracks in it as it is also the lower radiator tank, the fan supports are often broken and brazed back together, and frequently the carbs have some issues being made of potmetal. Those are just off the top of my head.
Find someone knowledgeable to take with you to look at it so you don't become a "buyer beware" victim.

Thanks for the info, he is asking 2500, but I need someone with more knowledge than I have to see if its worth anything close to that price.
