Hey guys....I had purchased an H for my wife for
her birthday, and christmas. Well the tractor has
some terrible play in the bushings up front,
making the tractor almost to dangerous to drive in
high gear. How had is it to change those, and
where can i find the bushings? I have looked and
cannot seem to find them. Also told that they are
very pricey! Well if ya'll could give me a little
info...she might get to drive it by mid december!!

Thanks

dave's right carter and gruenenwald has the kit about 150 dollars or so, comes with upper and lower bushings, bottom bearing, upper seal, also bearing and seal for the worm gear shaft, and i thing also the bushing for the worm gear shaft. not too bad to change them, they can either be pressed in or if you have a long piece of all thread rod, you can make a puck to pull the lower in. if you miss the hole for the grease zerk, just remove the zerk from the bolster and drill a new hole.

Is this the same overhaul kit 368098 R91 IH sold? Or do you sell a kit that includes the worm gear parts mentioned in glennsters post? Thanks

Our kits are the 368098R and 368097R that IH had years ago.
