Hey Mike CA

So far so good. I think I need to tweak it a little to get more amps in there. And probably clean up the water a bit. Last night I took out the air breather tube after I forgot it for 4 days. It came out darn clean! I just need to wire wheel the rust bumps down. That's what I had to do for the hydraulic control arm I did. It came out nice. Still some rust on it though, so I think with the amps staying low, I need to "forget" about the parts for longer.

Last night I put in my "new" distillate manifold. I'm hoping to free the heat selector valve. So I'm probably going to give that a week before I check it.

I just built one and i didn't work ith the charger so i wired a battery in series and it works great. A few hours and it stripped the part bare of paint and rust. I had a spare bucket and some rebar. and threw it together and it works good.

Give it a shot. It may work great for you.

Some of the newer chargers that have some sort of sensing device to monitor the charge do not work from what I have read. I use an ancient Interstate battery charger on mine.

Good to see another convert and that things are going well.

As far as final clean up the original article I read said to use 3M type Scotch Bright Finishing Pad product #10144NA I have always used the green kind that my wife gets for use in the kitchen (yes I get my own rather that filch hers) I like them because you can clean it under running water which creates less dust, but if a wire wheel works for you that's fine.
