Thanks for all the help. I'm sure I will need a lot more before my Lo Boy is finished. This is the first time I am posting photos. I hope they show up.

The pics came through fine.

It looks like you've been bustin' your buns, and your tractor's lookin' good!

Keep the pics comin'!

I took it to the local sandblasting and painting place to have it blasted and primed. I don't know what kind of primer they use. I do know they have been using that primer for years and they use it on eveything they paint.

The red is IH red made by Valspar. I bought it at Tractor Supply Company. I'm just spraying it with spray paint cans. It is 4.99 a can. They also have a 7.99 a can spray paint.

Never saw one stripped down like that. Wonder if they could be made into a high clear by rotating the rear axle housings & re-working the front end? Paint job looks good. The landlord was into JD's, & paid $6000 to have a 620 painted. The paint even had a couple of sags along the side of the hood--really got a screw job. Your tractor will be much easier on the billfold.

Lou,

Your tractor looks great. If it is not too late, I would use the $7.99 can (Restoration Finish Valspar) TSC paint for the final coat , especially on the sheet metal parts. It looks the same but holds its color and does not fade in the long run as fast as the regular TSC Valspar paint. If the tractor is not going to be in sunlight very much, it probably won't make a difference. Anyhow, congradulations on a great job.
