Sedament bowl seat

Well I just sandblasted the Bowl housing for my S/A Farmall and it looks so nice BUT it looks like I lost the seat in the process...What do you guys use in this case? Thanks Bobby

When you turn the gas off the needle goes in to shut off the gas...and where it hits the stop I call that the seat

Ummmm....I don't believe there is a separate seat in the sediment bowl assembly. Rather the "seat" is simply machined directly into the zinc casting.

I suspect your sandblasting tore up the seat area in yours. Or perhaps there's a bit of sand now embedded in it.

Either way your best bet is to purchase a whole new sediment bulb assembly. They're readily available and not terribly expensive.

Did you have the shut-off l-shaped lever out? Or you needing a new gasket and screen where the glass bowl seats.

Over the years I have purchased 4 or 5 new sediment bowl assemblies from local farm stores. Not a single one of them will actually STOP the flow of fuel when I shut it off.
