Took my IH chopper out to chop stalks. works good but need to put on some more drag chains on the back. There were none on it when I got it. The stalks like to bunch up some by left wheel in back. Are there supposed to be a baffle of some sort in the corners? I think there is one up front but that is it. Other than that it works very good. I did hit a couple of rocks, they didnt survive...chopped them too.

Thanks. Yes, runs very well. I love the looks of them. I was out the other night chopping stalks for 3 hours with it (at 28 degrees-brr). I have a Meade cab that is made for it to put on when I get time to. I used about 2.5 gal per hour of fuel. I didnt think that was too bad for a 70hp gas tractor.

I don't think baffles were original. The only thing I'm aware of mounted under the deck bolted to the sides would have been a stationary knife on a support bracket if the cutter had the shredding option installed.

Stalks seem to bunch up on the left by the wheel, not bad but all of them seem to come out that side. Have to put on more drag chains as it never had them on when I bought it. Would like to get it to be a little more even in the field. Any ideas?
