Thanks guys for the info on the manifold. Do i get the carb kit for the distilite or the gas? I guess i could get this one blasted and repaired. My intentions with the tractor are for show/parades only. Once i get it running (needs tune up/ carb kit) i will tear it all the way down and go back with new paint, seals, gaskets and tires.

LOL, yes, i will have to get that boy of mine a IH cap real soon. I thought i would never get him off of it.

My Dad was on the USS Midway in the 40"s. He was in electronics and radar. He didn"t like sitting all day looking at a radar screen so he learned to be a barber on the Midway. After he left the Navy he ran a shop in New Lebanon, NY 3 days a week and another one in Stephentown, NY two days.

That is very interesting, Jeff! Thanks for sharing that. I'm looking at those beards, and those tilted back dixie cups, thinking how much the Navy has changed since then.

Mike............. My dad was in V-1 Division, "crash crew". He was ont eh Forrestal 1961-64.
