A current picture of my '44 H.

Someone asked me how my H was coming. Well, this was taken 10 minutes ago. I took the front ped off this morning to sand blast so I can primer it, and it won't be a yellow/rust mix. I'm putting new wheels with new tires on the front. I've got some other "new" parts to clean up and primer, then I've got to rebuild the whole thing, get it running and ready to go...

all by the 30th.

The Girl Scouts are counting on me! Well, back to work!

Looks like your knees deep in it, at least. Seems like you've got a lot bitten off, but with the devotion to the project I can tell you have through your posts, you should have one heck of a nice tractor when it's all done. Good luck and keep up the good work.

you bet back to work, cant disapoint the girls.looks good. might have to get them there to help you!

Are you sandblasting in the cul-de-sac?

Will you remove the funnel before sitting on the
seat?

Do you have a tractor buddy who will lend you his
tractor on the 30th?

Have you used up all your leave?

Oh, and how's the weather?

Are you sandblasting in the cul-de-sac?
No. At other people's places.

Will you remove the funnel before sitting on the seat?
 I've considered it, but haven't made a firm decision.

I will not fail! (That's what I keep telling myself)

Have you used up all your leave?
I've used up a lot. But I hardly ever take leave, so I had a lot to burn. I check in to my new squadron on Friday... afternoon... so I'll have all weekend as well! :D

Oh, and how's the weather?
Cold. In the mid-60's today, so I have the garage closed and the heater on to warm up the front rims so I can't throw some paint on them today. Tomorrow it's going to be colder and calling for rain. Low 60's after that. Nice fall weather, but bad for painting.

I totally agree Brownie. I'm just cleaning up and primering a few parts so they don't continue to rust. I'm starting to move into the paint phase, as I've almost got all the parts and mechanics taken care of.

Mike, Suggest you clean up that radiator support /front cross member with some acetone. Then scuff it real well with 3m scotch pad and then shoot it with double coat of IH 2150 rattle can. That's one area hard to do with rad on and you don't want to have to do that radiator R&R twice.

Gordo

Yeah, it's a pain, but I've got a "new" fan shroud I need to do a lot of work on, and I don't have time to do it prior. So there will be another radiator R&R in the future.
