300 utility steering

I am looking at purchasing a 300 utlity. During the test drive I was surprised at how hard it steers. It does not have power steering and has a loader mounted on it. My 300 RC does not have power steering either and has a loader on it, it steers easier than the utlity. Is this typical for these 300 utility's to steer hard or is the something that can be done to help. It has ribbed tires on the wide fornt.

That was a known problem with the utilities. Aftermarket power steering kits are available but expensive. You might want to start lifting weights? Sam

I have a 300U without loader. When it is moving, I don't think it is too hard to steer, but forget about turning the wheel when stopped.

Known problem especially with worn out parts.
Swapping out for a ps unit is not difficult if you have all the parts needed.
I have one of each and I prefer the ps. I keep threatening to bite the bullet and convert it but havent done it yet.
I would pass on it unless everything else is good/excellent and you are getting one heck of a deal.
